As more and more results start to trickle in we need to turn our attention to the upcoming Top Schools Hockey Tournament that will be held by Paarl Gym in August, 2019.

There were a couple of tough matches for Menlopark to negotiate during the past week which didn’t go their way and sees them losing a bit of ground at the top of this week’s Girls Turftech Top 70 Rankngs.

A gallant effort by DSG at the Champions Cup hosted by Rustenburg has seen the Grahamstown team rocket into the top 5 of this week’s Girls U16 Hockey Rankings.

For the 5^th time in the past six years it was Oranje Meisies who travelled to the prestigious St Mary’s Waverely Festival and walked away with the crown.

Very little change this week on the Turftech Girls Top 50 Rankings although we can expect plenty of movement as the Festival Tournaments get underway.

Menlopark remain on top of this week’s TurfTech First Team Girl’s Rankings, although we have far more teams that have been included in the rankings following the past weeks’ matches.

It has been a sensational season from the St Stithians Water Polo team who rest at the top of the SA School Sports Rankings after finishing this stage of 2019 unbeaten.

It has been St Stithians all the way this season with an unbeaten run of 27 matches as they have taken home every trophy on offer. Saints lead this week’s Girls Water Polo Rankings again and it seems unlikely they will be caught.

In 2018 it was Pearson who ended the season as the leading team in the country and although they have started well once against we are looking at St Stithians who are taking the No.1 spot for this week on the Water Polo Rankings.

St.Mary’s Kloof put a historic performance at this year’s St.Mary’s Waverley Festival as they fought their way into the final match in a showdown with Collegiate which they managed to win in dramatic fashion.
