Nobody will be surprised to hear that Grey College have ended the 2019 season as the No.1 ranked team on the SA School Sports First XV Top 100 Rankings.
It was an ancient story, from olden times, the story of David versus Goliath. The Story of the mighty giant against the puny underdog. The Story of the overwhelming favourite against the long shot, with absolutely no chance.
Grey College were given a genuine test by Glenwood who travelled up to Bloemfontein to take on the leading team in the country. Although there were times when Glenwood hinted at causing a major upset, Grey managed to win well at the end and stay at the head of this week’s SA School Sports First XV Top 100 Rankings.
It was always going to be a challenge for Grey High School when they took on Grey College for their annual match. However few would have expected such a ferocious display by Grey College who further underlined why they are this week’s No.1 team on the SA School Sports First XV Top 100 Rankings.
With the resumption of the school rugby season it was back to the same kind of results that we have become accustomed to in 2019.
