A couple of solid wins by Grey College has helped to jolt them up the table on this week’s SA School Sports First XI Top 60 Rankings.

The U15 Rugby Rankings as of this week bears a striking resemblance to the First XV and U16’s Rankings with most of the same teams are occupying the leading positions.

The dust has settled on yet another fantastic hockey season with many more teams joining the rankings and competing fiercely to finish as high up the table as possible.

There can be little debate as to which team should be crowned as the leading Boys Hockey team in South Africa for 2018.

Perhaps the highlight of the U16 season was the introduction of the Paarl Gym U16 Top Schools Tournament for the first time and the huge success the event achieved which further enhanced the profile of the sport.

The 2018 school rugby season has finished and once again we have witnessed the sport played in its purest form at an astonishingly high level.

It would have come as a bitter disappointment for Menlopark last week when they faced Helpmekaar and were forced to concede their first defeat of what has been an incredible season.

Outeniqua have hit the ground running this year on the U16 Rugby Rankings and rise to the top at this very early stage of the season.

Monument sent Helpmekaar crashing out of the top 10 zone on this week’s U16’s Top 100 Rankings after putting in one of their best performances of the season.

Grey College managed to conclude their season with a well worked win over Paul Roos Gym and in so doing confirm their status as the leading U15 team on this week’s U15 Top 100 Rankings.
