As more and more results start to trickle in we need to turn our attention to the upcoming Top Schools Hockey Tournament that will be held by Paarl Gym in August, 2019.

With not much U16 Rugby on show during the past week we are looking at little change on this week’s SA SchoolSports U16 Rugby Rankings.

There were a couple of tough matches for Menlopark to negotiate during the past week which didn’t go their way and sees them losing a bit of ground at the top of this week’s Girls Turftech Top 70 Rankngs.

The weather had a hand to play in the Easter Festival matches that took place over the weekend with most of the festivals having to call some matches off.

Paarl Gim shifted gears rapidly in their match against SACS and put on a ruthless display in what turned out to be a one-sided encounter on the day. However the win keep’s the U14 Paarl Gim side way out in front in the No. 1 position for this week on the U14 School Rugby Rankings.

HTS Drostdy have surged into the top three sector on this week’s SA SchoolSport U14 Rankings in what is fast becoming a great 2019 season for them.

There is not much change at the top end of this week’s SA SchoolSports U15 Top 100 Rankings

A gallant effort by DSG at the Champions Cup hosted by Rustenburg has seen the Grahamstown team rocket into the top 5 of this week’s Girls U16 Hockey Rankings.

It was a massive effort from Monnas who travelled down to Durban and inflicted a heavy defeat on the Glenwood Green Machine in their own backyard. It was a victory that has helped them to threshold of the top 5 zone on this week’s First XV School Rankings.

It has been a near perfect start from the Grey College and Outeniqua U14 teams in their first taste of High School rugby and they are currently resting at the top of this week’s U14 School Rugby Rankings.
