Founded in 1903 as East London Girls’ High School and renamed Clarendon in 1957 in honour of Lady Clarendon, our school has proudly stood as a flagship of excellence in the region for over a century.

Our learners have access to state-of the art facilities in order to flourish. Clarendon boasts sporting facilities such as our recently completed Harrison Aquatic Centre, squash courts, netball courts, tennis courts an astroturf and our newest jewel: The Mary Laurie Memorial Hall – a world-class, multipurpose venue ready to host school functions, inter-school events, indoor sports, and cultural showcases.
