Jeppe did what they needed to do to ensure that they are at the top of this week’s Boy’s First Team Rankings and that was to win their matches against KES and Waterkloof.
However for the other main contender for the heavyweight crown, Maritzburg College, it was a frustrating match against Pretoria Boys High that blunted their advancement as they were forced to settle for a 2-2 draw. It was a case of déjà vu for the two teams who had earlier in the season battled it out for the same result.
There was another high profile draw last week when Grey College and Grey High School were locked at 3-3 when the final whistle was blown. The result nudges Grey PE into the top 5 zone in what has become a tightly compacted top section of the tab
