Maritzburg College kept the Kearsney College challenge at bay last week with a robust 3-1 victory which keeps them entrenched at the top of this Week’s Belgotex Sports Top 70 Rankings.
Pretoria Boys High who has steadily closed the gap on Maritzburg College failed to come home with a win when they took on Hilton College and were forced to share the spoils with both teams locked at 2-2.
However Wynberg and Rondebosch make their first appearance into the top 10 after a slow start to their seasons but seem poised to make further advancement up the table as the 2018 season progresses. Wynberg’s win over Grey High School was particularly valuable and sends a warning shot to their remaining opposition that they will be a tough team to beat.
