After another successful campaign at the Wildeklawer Festival, Paarl Gim remains the top U16 rugby team in the country as they surge onwards during this unbeaten run.
Monument however made up valuable ground during the past week with wins over Grey College and HTS Drostdy which helps to get Monnas into the top 10 zone and if their current form tells a story we can expect them closing the gap on the rest as the season progresses.
Maritzburg College did not get the nod to participate at Wildeklawer but they scored a hard fought for win over a good Northwood side to keep their hopes afloat at the top end of the table.
The other big mover is Grey High School who also enters amongst the leading ten teams after enjoying a good run at their home festival. What is clear is that school rugby at the U16 level is very healthy and we can expect a great season in 2018.
