The Rondebosch bowling duo of Aneeq Gamieldien and Jacques Duminy rocked the Paarl Gim batters to bundle them out cheaply and set up another win for the Cape side that is finishing the 2017 year strongly.
For the second week in a row Aneeq Gamieldien snatched a 5 for (6/7) and along with Jacques Duminy who returned figures of4/82, effectively stifled Paarl Gim’s chances of posting a realistically difficult total for the Bosch batters who helped themselves to an 8 wicket win. Cameron Jansen and James Prowse reached half centuries which secured the win and has helped to keep Rondebosch in touch with the leading teams.
However Hudson Park peeled off another victory when they met Kingswood and remain at the top of this week’s U15 Belgotex Sports Top 50 Rankings.
Perhaps the notable performance of last week came from KES batsman Heinrich Pieterse who hammered an unbeaten 209 runs in a high scoring match against Jeppe who they beat. A double century is rare in the U15 level so congratulations to Heinrich for an excellent knock.
