We are looking at a two horse race at the moment on this week’s U15 Top 50 Cricket Rankings with Maritzburg College duelling it out for the top spot with Rondebosch.
Although weather has not been on the side of College they have been able to record comprehensive wins in their completed matches with the likes of George Delport leading the onslaught with the bat.
However Rondebosch who traditionally enjoy a jam packed season have played some very enterprising cricket and are excellent value this year. Last week it was B.Mfunelwa who cashed in with an unbeaten 101 runs to set up a fine win against the touring Shrewsbury side.
Reuben du Toit was also in the runs for St Stithians with a great 125 runs against St Andrews College and Kyle Schwartz from KES also reached three figures although ‘nelson’ playing for PBHS claimed him on 111 runs.
