ACTION NETBALL FINALS 

We are delighted with the growth of our netball at Fatima! This year, we had 15 of our 18 teams playing in a final.

  • A particular mention must go to our 1st team who played an exceptionally competitive and exciting final against Durban Girls College and took the Gold winning 23 – 21.
  • Our U14A also brought home a gold medal beating Ashton A 27 – 14.
  • Our U14B won bronze, beating Ashton B 12 – 10.
  • Our U15B won bronze, beating Curro 17 – 4.
  • Our U16A lost to DGC coming 4th overall.
  • Our U16B lost to CLL U16A coming 4th overall.
  • Our 2nd team won bronze getting a walkover against Ashton as they did not arrive.

Outdoor Netball Results:

Our girls played their first Netball fixture of the season verse KingsWay High School.

Our 1st Team beat KingsWay 26 – 21

Our U16A beat KingsWay 25 – 13

Our U15A beat KingsWay 26 – 2

Our U14A beat KingsWay 20 – 3

Later in the week we played Durban Girls High School, which turned out to be a tough fixture for all our players.

Our 2nd Team lost to DGHS 16 – 17

Our U16A beat DGHS 13 – 10

Our U16B beat DGHS 6 – 4

Our U15A beat DGHS 15 – 8

Our U15B lost to DGHS 11 – 12

Our U14A drew to DGHS 10 – 10

Our U14B beat DGHS 14 – 10

We also had KZN Netball trials this week, which we are proud to say that 8 of our girls have made a KZN Netball team to attend IPT.

Outdoor Hockey Results:

In a much anticipated first home fixture of the season, our hockey girls played Curro Hillcrest and Westville Girls High School in a well contested battle. Thank you to both schools for taking the time to come down and play us.
We are extremely proud of our 1st team girls who showcased their skill beating Curro Hillcrest 6 – 0.

Our U14A beat Curro Hillcrest 4 – 0 and beat Westville Girls 10 – 0.

Our U14B drew to TMC 0 – 0 and beat Westville Girls 1 – 0.

Our U16A beat Curro Hillcrest 3 – 1 and beat Westville Girls 9 – 0.

Our U16B beat Curro Hillcrest 3 – 0 and beat Westville Girls 6 – 0.

Our 2nd Team beat Curro Hillcrest 3 – 0.

Later on in the week we played Ashton College and Danville Park Girls High who are two formidable schools when it comes to their sport.

Yet again our 1st Team Girls showcased their talent beating Ashton 6 – 1.

Our U16A beat Ashton 2 – 0.

Our U16B lost to Ashton 2 – 0.

Our U14A drew to Ashton 1-1.

Hockey vs Danville
A very well done goes out to our U16A team who were 1 – 0 down for some time and fought back to win 3 – 1.

Our 1st Team beat Danville 2 – 0.

Our 2nd Team beat Danville 3 – 0.

Our U16B beat Danville 2 – 0.

Our U14A beat Danville 11 – 0.

We also had Umlazi trials this week for KZN Hockey where we would like to congratulate the following learners on being selected.
