Exciting times are upon us as the latest SA School Sports First XV Rugby Rankings have been released. Grey College currently holds the No.1 position, showcasing their incredible skill and dominance on the field. This is great news for many rugby fans across the country, but it is important to remember that we are still in the early stages of the season, and there is much that can happen between now and the end of the season.

It is vital that coaches and schools submit their first XV results to [email protected] to ensure the rankings are up-to-date. The SA School Sports First XV Rugby Rankings rely on these submissions, and we urge all coaches and schools to submit their results promptly. By doing so, we can provide a comprehensive database of school rugby results, enabling us to provide a fair representation of school rugby in South Africa.

Grey College Dominates Early Stages

Although they are currently No.1, during the recent Noord-Suid tournament, Grey College showed some signs of vulnerability, with Maritzburg College nearly causing an upset in their match. This highlights the depth of skill among schools and the unpredictability of rugby. However, Grey College’s present standing at the top of the rankings is a testament to their incredible talent, and they are sure to continue dominating on the field although remaining unbeaten is going to be a huge challenge for the Bloemfontein team.

Paarl Boys High Rise Through the Ranks with Fighting Power on the Field

There is also much to be excited about with the rise of Paarl Boys High. They left the NS tournament battered but unscathed, and their victory over Affies showcased their fighting power.

As we head into the Easter rugby festivals throughout the country, we can expect to see some big upsets, and results from these festivals will certainly affect the rankings for the following week.
