The first Fairtree U15 Rugby Rankings are out — offering an exciting early look at how this season’s young talent is beginning to stack up. While these rankings provide a strong indication of early form, they are just the opening chapter in what will be a dynamic and ever-changing season.
It’s important to note that this is not a traditional league table. With school rugby teams playing varied fixtures across different regions, a broader approach is required. The rankings are calculated using four key factors: strength of opposition, match result, on field points, and margin of victory or defeat — ensuring a more balanced and accurate reflection of performance.
At this early stage, a few anomalies are expected. Some teams may find themselves in surprising positions due to limited fixtures or the quality of opposition faced. As the season unfolds, these irregularities will gradually iron themselves out, providing a clearer and more consistent picture.
For now, enjoy the early excitement and keep a close eye on how the U15 season develops — there’s plenty more to come.
