As the dust settles on the recent cut-off for qualifying for the prestigious Paarl Gim Top Schools and DSG Rising Cup Tournaments, the School Hockey Rankings for U16 Girls have been updated to reflect the latest standings. The past week saw an influx of results that significantly impacted the table.
We extend heartfelt congratulations to the teams that successfully secured their spots in the Paarl Gim Top Schools (positions 1-12) and DSG Rising Cup Tournaments (positions 13-23). The response and interest surrounding these tournaments have been truly overwhelming. However, we also acknowledge and sympathize with those teams who narrowly missed out. The fine margins that separate teams can be attributed to factors such as the quality of opposition faced or even the narrowest margins of victory.
Nonetheless, the rankings journey continues, and we encourage coaches to keep sending in their team’s results. We want to express our sincere appreciation to everyone for their unwavering support, especially the dedicated coaches and players who have poured their hearts into the sport and logged countless miles on the turf in pursuit of their dreams.
