The latest School Hockey Rankings for Girls First Teams have been released, and there has been some movement on the leaderboard. While the top five teams remain unchanged, the gaps have closed on Oranje Meisies at the top, indicating a highly competitive season ahead.

There is a level of stability at the top end of the table, with the top five teams unchanged from the previous rankings. However, the margins between the top teams have narrowed, suggesting that the battle for the top spot will be intense and closely contested throughout the season.
Plenty to Play for
As the season heats up, two top-class tournaments will be basing their invitations on the SA School Sports Hockey Rankings. Oranje Meisies will be hosting their Super 12 Tournament, with automatic invitations going to the top 12 teams on the rankings. Meanwhile, La Rochelle will be inviting positions 13-25 to their Challengers Cup Tournament. This means that there is still plenty to play for, with teams vying
for their place in these prestigious tournaments. The SA School Sports Hockey Rankings will play a crucial role in determining which teams get invited, making every match and every goal all the more important.
