With the 2024 hockey season done and dusted, it’s time to unveil the SA School Sports Boys’ Combined Hockey Rankings. Continuing our tradition, we’ve combined rankings from U14, U16, and First XI teams to offer a full picture of each school’s hockey program.
These rankings celebrate schools that excel across all age levels, paying tribute to institutions dedicated to nurturing young talent and building a strong culture of hockey excellence from the ground up.
Leading this year is SACS, showcasing their skill across age groups and earning the title of Top Boys’ Hockey School of 2024. Their remarkable consistency speaks volumes. These rankings also highlight an essential point—success in school hockey extends beyond the First XI. Some schools excel with senior teams but face challenges in junior development, impacting their overall standing.
It’s important to remember that these rankings aren’t predictors of match outcomes. In school sports, surprises are always possible, adding to the excitement of each game.
