Girls Hockey: This Week’s Top 90 Rankings: 22/05/2019

Oranje Meisies signed off this term’s matches with a 2-0 win over Affies and with that result lead this week’s Girl’s TurfTech Top 90 Hockey Rankings.

With the deadline for qualification to the Super 12 Tournament now only days away results have been gathering momentum with many teams still holding out a realistic hope that they can get a top 10 placing to gain an automatic invitation.

For some teams however the push has come a little too late and will fall just short but never before has there been such a passionate effort to finish as high up the table as possible.

There are still plenty of fixtures still to be played before the deadline on the 31st May, 2019 and several teams will be sending through some outstanding results so we can expect a very anxious run up to the cut-off-date.

Only teams ranked no 1- 10 on the SA School Sports Rankings automatically qualify to be invited and they must have played at least 15 matches. This is subject to all Tournament criteria being adhered to.

Should any of the top 10 teams not be able to participate, the 11th team etc. automatically qualify to be invited.
