Hilton College put together a dominate performance against Durban High School to make up some needed ground on the SA School Sports First XI Cricket Rankings for this week.

Hilton Captain, Ross Boast slammed an unbeaten century off just 81 balls and along with Charles Swart who scored 107 runs set up a total that was a bridge too far for DHS.

Rondebosch and SACS were not in action on the weekend and so these school cricket powerhouses are unmoved at the top of the table but as more matches are played we can expect some stability on the table and the gaps to close.

Another noticeable result came from Pretoria Boys High who shocked Affies by skittling them out for a paltry 71 thanks in part to Caden Cromarty who ended with figures of 4/30. The win helps to boost PBHS to the top 5 and they would have had a terrific season if they can maintain that form.

St Andrews College and Kingswood College enjoyed a fantastic game of cricket that ended in a draw. Needing to chase 252 runs, St Andrews College were 245/9 when time was called in a match that could have gone either way. St Andrew’s William Beamish scored heavily with his 139 and was supported by Laurie Apps (84) and Sam Scheckter (69*).

Other noticeable performances this past week includes Adriaan Lagadien’s 133 for Bishops against Paarl Gim.

Check out the 2023 Honours Board to see who has scored Centuries and taken five fors this year.
