First XI Cricket Rankings: 01/11/2022

With only a few weeks left of the 2022 school cricket season the First XI Cricket Rankings are as tight as they have ever been at the top of the table.

Affies suffered a 4 wicket loss to KES which has caused the Pretoria team to slip down to third on the table and the win helps KES to enter the top 5 zone for the first time this year.

Both SACS and Rondebosch recorded comfortable wins over Bishops and Wynberg respectively, which keeps these two Western Cape sides at the top of the table, with Bosch narrowly holding the lead.

Meeka-ell Prince was once again in supreme form with an unbeaten century to lay the foundation for a strong win by SACS over Bishops who crumbled in the run chase as Hamish Anderson snatched 7/32.

Jordan Neill with 127 runs supported by Fayaad Daniels (63) helped Rondebosch put together a total that was just too much for Wynberg who never were in the run chase collapsing to 152 runs all out.

Westville continue to climb the table with another couple of wins during the past week and they benefit from Hilton’s unexpected T20 loss to Grey College, who struggled in the recent North South Tournament, although they did manage to bounce back nicely in the longer version match.
