Fairtree First XV School Rugby Rankings – The Season’s Final Battles Unfold
As the 2025 school rugby season nears its final chapter, the last few clashes of the year are being fought with all the pride, passion, and determination that makes South African schoolboy rugby so special. While the rankings are almost set in stone, there are still those final, fiercely contested fixtures that can sway positions and settle bragging rights before the curtain falls.
Among the big names still taking to the field, Affies produced a commanding performance against their Pretoria neighbours, Pretoria Boys High, running in a 41-12 victory that showcased their clinical finishing and physical dominance. It was a match played in great spirit, with Affies proving that even at the tail end of a long season, their hunger for victory remains undiminished.
Boland Landbou and Oakdale delivered a pulsating encounter that had the crowd on the edge of their seats until the final whistle. In a battle of grit and guile, Boland Landbou held their nerve to secure a thrilling 34-27 win, a fitting send-off for their season.
With only a handful of fixtures left on the calendar, the 2025 Fairtree First XV Rankings are edging toward their final shape. It’s been a season of spectacular tries, dramatic comebacks, and unforgettable rivalries—and while the end is in sight, there’s still rugby to be played, moments to be made, and hearts to be lifted before the ultimate whistle blows.
