Pretoria Boys High came within minutes of producing one of the upsets of the season when they travelled to take on log leaders Hilton who still cling on to the top spot on this week’s Turftech Boys Top 80 Rankings.
Hilton has ridden the crest of the wave for most of the season and would have expected to dictate matters in their own backyard when PBHS arrived. However with only minutes remaining Pretoria were leading 2-0 and it looked as if a big upset was on the cards. Facing imminent defeat, Hilton somehow managed to score two quick fire goals in the final breathes of the match to share the spoils 2-2.
It was a dramatic effort from Pretoria Boys High who have struggled to consistently put these types of performances together this year but now rise up a few places and realistically should be looking at a top 10 finish.
Maritzburg College also narrowly avoided blushes as they scrapped home against the modest DHS side by a single goal and Westville got the better of Affies to stay unbeaten and move into 2nd spot on the table.
