Boys Hockey: This Week’s First Team Top 70 Rankings: 30/05/2018

A new look to this week’s Boy’s Hockey Top 70 Rankings with Jeppe finally clinching the top spot from Maritzburg College by the narrowest of margins.

 

Jeppe enjoyed a brace of victories last week including a good win over Affies whereas Maritzburg College were held to a 1-1 draw at home against a motivated Clifton outfit who keep the pressure on the leading two teams.

Jeppe ,who can boast no less than 6 players who have recently been selected for the Southern Gauteng U18 team, have played terrific hockey this year and are unbeaten although they have been held to draws by Maritzburg College, St John’s College, Grey HS and KES.

One of the big results from the last week was St.Benedicts who caught Pretoria Boys High napping with a 3-1 win. St Bennies certainly have the team to beat some of the big names and will be hoping to show they can consistently live with the leading teams.
