Bosmansdam High school centers itself on four core values: honesty, responsibility, loyalty, accountability and respect. We encourage each individual to choose and cultivate their own personal values and believe that it is through these that students become positive assets to society.
We also support the WCED’s ‘Transform to Perform’ initiative, which aims to instill the importance of values in the youth in order for them to serve and contribute to their communities.
Our vision is to equip the learners of Bosmansdam High School to reach their full potential in a productive, disciplined, safe and positive learning environment. We aim to empower our students by honing their leadership skills in various stages of their school careers.
We have made it our mission to ensure this by basing the school ethos on the values of honesty, responsibility, loyalty and respect.
Sport:
Our winter sport schedule consists of rugby, netball, hockey and chess and these sport codes compete in various derbies and tournaments.
In summer we offer athletics, cricket, softball as well as action sports like action netball, action cricket and skills and development training. These action sports are growing in popularity and are fully recognized.
We have already achieved several provincial colours and awards in these sports. We are one of the few schools in our region to offer them on a full-time basis.
We aim to provide learners with opportunities to develop as many of their skills and interests as possible and therefore run a diverse cultural programme in addition to our sporting codes.
