Kearsney College beat Northwood 3-0
The game started with Northwood keeping possession of the ball and Kearsney holding their defence. Midway through the first half, Kearsney striker James Gillespie went on a solo run and struck the ball from an acute angle, beating the Northwood keeper on the near post.
Minutes later Kearsney obtained a free-kick outside the Northwood 18-yard box and took a shot which deflected off a Northwood defender into the goal, giving the home side a 2-0 advantage going into the break.
Northwood came out in the second half a lot more direct, attacking the Kearsney goal, but Siyen Gounden was solid with his hands, dominating his goal area.
With a few minutes left Kearsney midfielder Lethu Ngidi went on a run down the line and cut inside, beating the Northwood keeper, to give Kearsney a 3-0 lead and the win.
