SOCCER
The 1st team game started with a high intensity from hosts Michaelhouse, who caught the Kearsney defenders off guard and scored within the first few minutes. Kearsney responded with a number of attacks, but were unable to convert their numerous chances into goals.
In the second half, both sides competed for dominance of the midfield, and the game stagnated into one of possession lost and gained. Eventually, Kearsney’s Simnene Kubheka had a chance in the opposition big box and, seeing the Michaelhouse goalkeeper flat footed, calmly put the ball into the net.
The game ended 1-1, with both sides feeling they could have won the game, had they taken their chances.
