School Water Polo Boys’ Rankings: 12/03/2024

The realm of school water polo recently witnessed the excitement of two prestigious tournaments, showcasing some of South Africa’s top school teams vying for glory. In the 44-year-old Reef Cup, Kearsney College, representing KZN, upheld their unbeaten streak for the season, powering their way to the final and ultimately clinching victory with a narrow 10-8 triumph over St Alban’s College. This marks Kearsney College’s inaugural triumph in the Reef Cup, a testament to the remarkable team they’ve assembled in 2024. Their impressive performance catapults them into the top three in this week’s rankings.

Meanwhile, in the KES Tournament, Noah Reiback from Rondebosch emerged as a standout player, leading his team to victory in the final with an impressive four goals, securing the win against finalists St. John’s College.

Although SACS stumbled in the semi-final stages, they retain their top position in the rankings for this week, albeit with a somewhat diminished grip on the pole position. As the season draws to a close, we eagerly await any school water polo outstanding results.
