As the cut-off for qualifying for the highly anticipated Paarl Gim U16 Top School Tournament has passed, the School Hockey Rankings for U16 Boys have been updated to reflect the latest standing of the teams. The past week witnessed an influx of results that has some impact on the way the rankings look this week.
Congratulations are in order for the teams that secured their spots in the Paarl Gim U16 Top School Tournament. The response and interest surrounding these tournaments have been truly overwhelming. While there may be disappointment for those who missed out, we extend our sympathies. The narrowest of margins, influenced by the quality of opposition faced or even the smallest margins of victory, can separate teams.
The school hockey rankings journey continues, and we strongly encourage coaches to keep submitting their team’s results. We want to express our deepest gratitude to everyone involved for their incredible support, especially the dedicated coaches and hardworking players who have logged countless miles on the turf in the past months.
To those who didn’t qualify, your efforts and dedication are commendable. The pursuit of excellence in this beautiful game is a journey filled with ups and downs. Let’s celebrate the determination, teamwork, and passion that fuel the spirit of hockey. We extend our appreciation to all the teams, players, parents, and coaches for their unwavering commitment. Together, we build a stronger school hockey community.
