As we take a collective deep breath before the smorgasbord of rugby is dished up during the Easter Festivals which is not far away, here is this week’s Belgotex First XV Top 50 Rankings.
Still keeping the minimum requirement of three matches before a team is displayed on the rankings, it is EG Jansen who take their turn at the top of the qualifying teams this week. Quietly going about their business EG Jansen are unbeaten at the start of the season with their victory over Garsfontein their toughest outing so far.
Monument got back to winning ways after their shock defeat to Eldoraigne last week with a solid by narrow win over HTS Middelburg and will be hoping to hit their straps before the Kearsney Easter Festival where they will be taking part.
Expect many more teams to join the rankings table in the next week and we can fully anticipate the likes of Grey College, St John’s College, Paul Roos Gym and Paarl Gim to enter highly.
