It was always going to be the biggest test for the First XV Belgotex Sports Top 100 Rankings when the country’s No.1 ranked team, Paarl Boys High, faced off against the second ranked team Grey College. Get this one wrong and the inbox would be full and telephone ringing all day long!
Thankfully the rankings past the test as Boishaai ranked No.1 ran away with a memorable win against Grey College.
KES also underline their status and one of the best teams in the country beating Affies in a shortened match due to lightening and in so doing remain unbeaten as they inch closer to even higher honors on the table. However as this match did not get the opportunity to run its full course this result was not included in the rankings for this week. A rematch has been planned we believe.
Grey High School were too good for Wynberg and Glenwood got back to winning ways with a whitewash win over Menlopark who struggled to cope with the physicality of the Durbanites.
SACS tasted their first defeat of the season when they narrowly were beaten by Paul Roos Gym who have fired hot and cold this season and with be hoping to finish the season strongly.
