If anyone was wondering what the long lay-off had done to the form of Hilton College, they showed that if anything they are stronger than ever.
Hilton College who have led the First XI Rankings since the start of the season faced Grey College and ignited their season with an overwhelming 8 wicket win to underline their current dominance in SA schools cricket.
Another good win by Affies sends them to within reach of the top 5 zone and this time it was Diaan Forrester who cracked an unbeaten 115 runs and a half ton by Jacques Pienaar who put pay to the chances of Menlopark over the weekend.
Centurion also pulled off a memorable 4 run win against Waterkloof despite Ludwig Kaestner and Simeon de Bruyn getting centuries in Waterkloof’s run chase. However Centurion held their nerve as the overs ticked by running out de Bruyn and sealing and good win.
