Paarl Gim perhaps settled for once and for all that they are the leading U16 team in the country after taking on the second placed Outeniqua team and clinching a memorable victory.
That victory now takes Paarl Gim to 15 straight victories in a row and it seems unlikely that any other team will be able to displace them at the top of the U16 School Rugby rankings.
Maritzburg College will be pleased that they came through their tough examination against Affies who pushed the Pietermartizburg outfit all the way but at the end had to settle for second place.
Helpmekaar lost their footing against a motivated Garfontein team who turned on the taps to record perhaps their finest win of the season and in so doing they find themselves swimming with the big fish in the top 10 zone.
