SACS Stage Dramatic Comeback to Maintain Top Spot in SA School Hockey Rankings!
This week’s SA School Sports Boys First Team School Hockey Rankings sees a thrilling comeback story and some key shifts in the top positions!
SACS Hold Onto Top Spot:
The number one ranked side, SACS, faced arguably their toughest challenge of the season against Paarl Gim on their home turf. Paarl Gim started strong, scoring first through captain LD Nel and putting the pressure on the visitors. However, SACS displayed their championship spirit, clawing back from a 3-goal deficit to secure a dramatic 4-3 victory, solidifying their position at the top of the school hockey rankings.
KZN Powerhouses on the Rise:
In KZN, Clifton pulled off an upset victory against Northwood, while Hilton College made a significant leap in the rankings, climbing into the top 3 after a convincing 5-0 win over Glenwood.
Eyes on the Top 10:
Jeppe High School are knocking on the door of the top 10 after securing a solid win against KES. This week’s results highlight the competitiveness and ever-changing nature of the school hockey rankings.
