A great result by Garsfontein over Menlopark has helped the Pretoria side to climb in amongst the leading ten teams on this week’s SA School Sports First XV Top 100 Rugby Rankings.
Garsies have enjoyed one of their finest seasons to date with only two losses in what has been an otherwise impressive season. With only Grey College and Monument able mark up a win against them, Garsfontein deservedly take their place in the leading group.
SACS put up a brave showing against Paarl Gim and at one stage of the match were leading Gimmies, but in a ruthless 20 mins Paarl Gim arrested the initiative away from SACS and notched up their 11th win of the season. Gimmies now close the gap slightly on Grey College who still lead the rankings.
Paul Roos Gym suffered their second consecutive loss of the season as they went down to Boishaai and will hoping to get back to winning ways in their next match.
