Affies rocket up the table on this week’s SA School Sports First XI Rankings following a great win over Paul Roos Gym during the past weekend.
Affies move just behind Hilton College on the table after three straight wins in recent times and could be the one team that can put some pressure on the KZN powerhouse.
However Jeppe also made some good progress upwards with a couple of wins which include a solid victory of neighbours St.Johns College.
There was plenty of action at the North and South Tournament with some surprise results for some of the teams. Wynberg went down to Centurion , Rustenburg, Potch Volkskool and Menlopark in a disappointing weekend for the Cape side.
Menlopark however were in a great vein of form only succumbing to Waterkloof which has helped them slide into the top 10 zone.
Last weekend also saw some classy performances from Waterkloof’s Karel Verhoef who was left unbeaten on 120 runs in their win over Menlopark.
