Tom Naude Technical High School was founded in 1950 and this year we will be celebrating 75 years of excellence.
Tom Naudé Technical High School in Polokwane is one of 8 schools in South Africa that offers a unique specialized Technical Curriculum. With the high demand for artisans across South Africa, Tommies provides the environment for budding artisans to become skilled in their chosen trade and ready to contribute to society.
Not only are we driven by passion in the classroom but also on the sports field. We encourage our athletes to achieve the following goals in sport:
- To cultivate pride, respect and citizenship in the learners through well-organized sport.
- To develop the confidence of the learners through sport.
- To cultivate loyalty in learners towards his / her team, school and country.
- To develop a good healthy attitude in learners, through sport.
- To form and maintain ties with neighboring schools and other schools.
- To make it possible for learners who excel in sport to achieve the highest sport.
- The purpose of sport is to promote participation with a view to developing talents. Each participant should be given the opportunity to practice and enjoy extracurricular activities.
- The winning motive must never overshadow the spirit of participation.
Sports played: Athletics, Golf, Cricket, Cross County. Netball Rugby, 7’s Rugby, Soccer, Chess, Cycling, Jet Skei, Archery.
