Coach Eugene Petersen Appointed as Central Gauteng Lions School Selector for 2024
Redhill School is proud to announce that Eugene Petersen, Head of Cricket, has been appointed as a Central Gauteng Lions (CGL) selector for 2024. Eugene will be responsible for identifying and selecting talented young cricketers from schools in the Central Gauteng region. As a School Selector he will play a crucial role in nurturing young cricketing talent and ensuring a strong pipeline of future cricket stars for the Central Gauteng Lions. This prestigious role is a testament to Petersen’s expertise, dedication, and passion for cricket, recognising his significant contributions to the sport both at Redhill and in the broader cricketing community.
Eugene has also been appointed as the Central Gauteng Lions u19 Invitational X1 Head Coach that will play matches against University and Academy/Colts teams.
Executive Head Joseph Gerassi expressed the school’s excitement, stating, “We are delighted that Eugene’s skill and commitment to nurturing young talent are being recognised at such a high level. We are confident that he will make a lasting impact in this new role.”
