KES became the next team to yield to the strong overall play of Maritzburg College who retain the No.1 position on this week’s Boy’s Belgotex Sports Top 70 Rankings.
It wasn’t all one way traffic for Maritzburg College who went down by a goal early in the match and were forced to fight their way to level the game and finally snatch the win at the end. Full marks for KES for putting up a terrific tussle but at the end the confidence of College helped them over the line.
Pretoria Boys High continue to hover near the top of the table and remain unbeaten following a 3-1 victory over a tenacious St.Albans College side who have perhaps been on the receiving end of too many near misses this season. A couple of good results over the strong teams will certainly put pressure on the two leader in the rankings.
As can be see it is incredibly tight at the top and any loss by the big names is bound to have a big effect on the table.
