The history of Hoërskool Upington tells the inspiring story of more than 129 years. This history is written and rewritten daily by former students, current students, staff, and friends of the school.

We will never stop hoping for our school because if you do not dare to hope, you will never discover what awaits on the other side. Here, we believe in ourselves and in our Heavenly Father—we are certainly not afraid of the unknown future.

At our Alma Mater, we prepare our learners to see beyond the turmoil and flames, empowering them to contribute meaningfully to the future of the South Africa we believe in.

The achievements of Hoërskool Upington, along with all the key role players over the past 129-plus years, are unique and truly victorious in their own right. With sincere gratitude, I pay tribute to former principals, past students, current staff, and learners, as well as all parents who have been an integral part of the school’s journey and accomplishments over the past 129 years. I salute you.

Furthermore, with humble gratitude, I acknowledge that we, as educators at this unique school, have each been equipped and chosen by a Higher Hand.

With deep appreciation, we also thank our Heavenly Father, who has faithfully protected and guided us with His great love.
