U15 Cricket Rankings: The First U15 Rankings of 2019

Let it be stated right at the outset that we are still in the very early stages of the U15 cricket season with many teams yet to have played a decent amount of matches to help produce a stable ranking.

In addition many matches for some of the big teams have been rained off which has further depleted the cross section of results that can be used. Therefore this first U15 Rankings for 2019 is missing several of the big players and also is bound to change as more matches are submitted and are played.

Having said that we are looking at a very good side in Selborne College at the moment who are cruising with an unbeaten record so far which included a strong win over St Andrews College. However the challenge for the No.1 spot is still very much open for several of the big names including Jeppe, Affies and others who are yet to get into their stride.

This list also does not include Maritzburg College who put on a brutal display last week in their first completed match of the year as they trounced Glenwood thanks in part to a wonderful 125 not out by Delport.

Westville’s batting duo Gopalan and Kistna also were in fine form against Kearsney scoring 105 and 93 respectively to help secure the win. Rondebosch continue to churn out good cricketers and the likes of Maahir Joseph looks like a player with a great future judging by his 64 runs against Grey High School last week.

As more results are submitted we can expect to see many of the usual suspects camping at the top of the table.
