Kearsney College 1st XI v Glenwood 1st XI in a 50 over game
Glenwood 141/9 (Coetzee 4/17)
Kearsney College 142/4
Kearsney College won by 6 wickets

In a 50 over encounter, Glenwood won the toss and decided to bat on a grassy track in hot and humid conditions and were soon in trouble. At 98/9 they were virtually dead and buried, thanks to Ross Coetzee’s offspinners (4/17) and some sharp fielding.

However, the tail wagged impressively, and Glenwood amassed 141/9 in their allotted overs.

The highly competent Glenwood attack put Kearsney’s batsmen under pressure to chase down the fairly small total, but in the end 141 was never going to be enough.

Kearsney got over the line (142/4) with captain Hayden Bishop (34) being the pick of the batters. Kearsney won the match by six wickets.
