In this week’s Girls’ School Water Polo rankings, Herschel entered the prestigious Old Petrian’s Tournament as the No.1 ranked team in South Africa.
Would Herschel be able to prove that the SA School Sport Water Polo Rankings formula had got it right?
Facing tough competition from elite teams like DSG and St. Mary’s Waverly, Herschel proved their top ranking by clinching victory in the final against St.Stithians with a score of 9-6.
Led by their inspirational captain Alex de Villiers, Herschel showcased their dominance, scoring a record 107 goals throughout the tournament. After 13 long years, they reclaimed the Old Petrian’s title, solidifying their status as the leading water polo team in the country.
Schools are reminded to submit their results to keep the rankings current and accurate.
