Rondebosch’s Perfect Easter Run Smashed by Milnerton’s Historic Comeback!
Rondebosch, who had been soaring high after dominating the Kearsney Easter Festival, were brought crashing down to earth by the valiant Milnerton side. In a game that will be etched in memory, the underdog Millies clawed their way back from a staggering 30-point deficit, scoring 31 unanswered points to secure a historic 34-33 victory. This stunning comeback has undoubtedly shaken up the rankings, with Rondebosch tumbling out of the top 10. However, their talent is undeniable, and a swift return to form wouldn’t be a surprise.
Affies Triumph in Brutal “Battle of Pretoria”
The annual “Battle of Pretoria” lived up to its name this year, with Affies edging out Garsfontein in a hard-fought encounter. This marks Affies’ first win over their Pretoria rivals in three years. Garsfontein, who have fallen narrowly short in several big matches this season, will be determined to bounce back and secure crucial wins in the weeks ahead.
Top Teams Maintain Dominance, But Grey College’s Tests Loom
Paarl Gim continues their reign at the top of the school rugby rankings, comfortably dispatching Boland Landbou. Oakdale pushed Boishaai all the way, but the latter managed to maintain their unbeaten run. All eyes now turn to Grey College, who return to action next weekend.
