School Hockey Girls’ U16 Rankings:19/03/2024

The race for the top spots in the SA School Sports U16 Girls School Hockey Rankings is heating up, with Paarl Gim setting the pace early on! Boasting a perfect record of four wins from four matches, Paarl Gim have grabbed the number one  position for the first edition of the rankings.

It’s important to remember that the season is still young, and many teams are yet to play the minimum of three matches required to appear on the rankings. This means there’s plenty of room for movement in the coming weeks, with teams battling it out for a coveted spot in the top 12. Don’t be surprised to see some exciting upsets and impressive displays of skill as the competition unfolds!

Of course, there’s more than just bragging rights at stake. The top 12 teams on the rankings will secure an invitation to the prestigious Paarl Gim Top 12 Tournament, while those ranked between 13th and 25th will have the opportunity to compete in other esteemed tournaments.

To ensure the rankings are kept up-to-date, we kindly ask all coaches to submit their results as soon as possible. With a thrilling season ahead, stay tuned for next week’s rankings to see which teams climb the table and who continues their winning ways!
