The latest edition of the U16 School Hockey Rankings for girls has just been released, and it’s an exciting time for schools and their teams. These rankings are a valuable tool for players, coaches and parents to gauge the strength of different school hockey programs.
It’s important for coaches to ensure that their results are submitted to [email protected], to ensure that the rankings are as up-to-date as possible. Teams that are ranked in the top 12 by the 31st of May stand in line to gain an automatic invitation to the Paarl Gim Top Schools Tournament. This is a great opportunity for these teams to showcase their skills against the best in the country.
However, all is not lost if a team fails to get into the top 12. DSG will be hosting positions 13-25 in their Rising Challengers Cup, giving these teams the chance to compete against similarly ranked schools.
Congratulations to all the schools that have made it onto the U16 School Hockey Rankings, and good luck to those striving to climb up the ladder. The U16 age group is an important stage in the development of young hockey players, and the rankings are an excellent tool to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
