The latest edition of the School Hockey Rankings for Girl’s First Teams is out, and the competition is heating up. Eunice notched up a couple of high-scoring wins during the past week, but it just wasn’t enough to prevent Rhenish from sneaking back into second spot after a strong performance against Herschel.
Oranje Meisies still holds the top spot in the school hockey rankings, but it’s extremely tight at the top with the leading 25 teams all vying for a spot in the two top tier tournaments of the year.
With only weeks left before the cut-off date for qualification to the Oranje Meisies Super 12 and the La Rochelle Challengers Cup, the pressure is on for teams to perform. The top 25 teams on the rankings will receive invitations to these premier hockey events, with positions 1-12 heading to the Super 12 Tournament and positions 13-25 to the Champions Cup.
Coaches are reminded to ensure they have sent their results to [email protected] to keep their teams’ rankings up-to-date.
It’s an exciting time for school hockey and we can’t wait to see which teams will come out on top!
