As the whistle is blown on the 2023 Girls School Hockey First Team season, a round of applause goes out to all teams for a remarkable year of competition.
The No.1 position became a tight contest, with perennial frontrunners Oranje Meisies finally dethroned after a decade at the summit. Eunice displayed composure throughout their extensive 54-match season, emerging as the country’s leading team. Their exceptional performance rightfully earns them the coveted top spot in the national rankings.
The Oranje Meisies Super 12 Tournament once again stood as a shining success, showcasing the best talents competing at the highest level of school hockey. A fresh addition to this year’s calendar, La Rochelle’s Rising Champions tournament, enjoyed resounding success by attracting a host of high-caliber teams.
We extend heartfelt gratitude to the devoted coaches for their prompt school hockey result submissions and to the players for their remarkable performances on the field. And of course to the parents for their passion for the sport.
The unwavering support and enthusiasm for the rankings are acknowledged with sincere appreciation. As we shift our focus to 2024, the anticipation of another thrilling season beckons.
