The latest boys U14 school hockey rankings have just been released, and the race is on for the top schools to secure their spot in the prestigious Paarl Boys High U14 Top Schools Tournament.
This tournament is considered the ultimate prize for U14 school hockey teams, and with only the top 12 teams on the rankings receiving an automatic invitation, schools across the country are putting in extra effort to make the cut.
Every week, schools from all over South Africa send in their results to the [email protected] who compile the rankings based on performance. The rankings consider not only the win-loss record of each team but also the quality of the opposition they have faced, the margin of victory, and other factors.
Coaches are reminded to send through their results to ensure their team’s performance is taken into account for the rankings. Every match counts, and even the smallest victory could make the difference between securing a spot in the top 12 and missing out.
With the tournament fast approaching, the competition is sure to be fierce, and the excitement is building as schools across the country battle it out for a chance at glory.
