The 2024/25 school basketball season kicked off with two of the traditional stayers tournaments, delivering thrilling contests right from the start. At the Kearsney College Stayers Tournament, Michael Mount powered their way to the finals, where they faced off against St. Benedict’s College in an intense battle. Michael Mount emerged victorious, claiming a 57-52 win in a perfect opening to the season.
Meanwhile, the Westville Stayers Tournament showcased a blend of established basketball giants and rising contenders. Pretoria Boys High impressed everyone with their early-season form, edging out Northwood in a nail-biting final to secure the title.
