The 1st XV match took place at Graeme College in the sweltering heat on Saturday. The St Andrew’s College side delivered a strong performance, taking control of the game from early on. Tactically, the team excelled, executing their game plan effectively to counter Framesby’s big pack of forwards.

First Half
St Andrew’s College played a territorial game, dictating the tempo in the first half and making the most of early opportunities. Asante Chivere and Aphindile Ngcuka crossed the try line, while Will Stevens added two conversions and a penalty. St Andrew’s College was unlucky not to secure a third try when Qhawe Madikizela made a 90m break, only to be tackled just 2m short of the try line. Framesby responded with a penalty, leaving the half-time score at 17-3 in favour of St Andrew’s.
Second Half
St Andrew’s started the second half well, continuing to move Framesby around the park with both ball in hand and a well-executed kicking game.
The team added four more tries, with Will Stevens, Oli Johns, Qhawe Madikizela, and Daniel Arnold all crossing the line. Will Stevens had an outstanding day with the boot, contributing a total of 21 points. Framesby added two tries to their tally, but the final score stood at 46-17 to St Andrew’s College.
