Exciting news for all school hockey enthusiasts! La Rochelle GHS is set to host one of the premier school hockey events of the year, the new Challengers’ Cup Hockey Tournament! This event promises to be a thrilling display of skill, passion, and sportswomenship.
Twelve teams will be invited to participate in the Challengers’ Cup tournament, with invitations being based on the SA School Sports Hockey Rankings. Teams who are in positions 13-25 will get an automatic invitation and will then have the opportunity to showcase their talents and compete for the championship title. Will your team qualify?
- To qualify for this prestigious event, teams will have to play a minimum of 12 games by the 31st of May. This requirement ensures that the best and most dedicated teams will be chosen to participate in the tournament.
- The tournament will run from the 11th to the 13th of August 2023, and will be completed by 14h00 on the 13th.
- La Rochelle has also ensured that all the participating teams will be comfortably accommodated on their hostel.
- Make sure all your First Team Hockey Results are submitted before the 31st May, 2023 to editor@saschoolsports.co.za to ensure your performances are entered accurately.
